V-Line Racer is a racing game. This page says what the game sends, why, and what it never does.
What the game sends
- Your races. After each race, and each drawing that didn't make a lap, the game sends the line you drew, the track, car, laps and finger pace, and how it went: time, lap times, wall hits and medal. We use it to check times, set fair medals and improve the game.
- An anonymous player ID. The first time it sends a race, the game gets a random player ID and a secret for this phone. It isn't linked to your Apple ID, email or phone number.
- Your driver name, if you set one. It goes with your player ID. Use a nickname, not your full name.
- Your phone's model, its iOS version and the game's version, so we can fix problems on particular phones.
- Your country. Our server notes the country you play from and keeps only that, never your internet (IP) address.
- Crash reports. If the game crashes, the next time it starts it sends what the game's code was doing when it crashed, with the game's version and your phone's model and iOS version. Nothing personal is in them.
- Feedback you send. If you use Send feedback in Settings, we get what you typed, with your player ID, the game's version, your phone's model and iOS version, and the screen you were on.
Test versions only
- Test versions of the game (from TestFlight or Xcode) also send a tester log: the screens you visit and buttons you tap, errors, slow frames, and details of the phone (model, iOS version, memory, screen; never the phone's name). App Store versions don't send it unless you switch it on.
What we never do
- No ads.
- No tracking across other apps or websites, and no advertising ID.
- We don't sell your data or share it with advertisers or data brokers.
- The game never asks for your email, contacts, location, camera, microphone or photos.
How long we keep it
- Your best lines are kept, so your records and replays stand. The full drawings of other attempts are deleted after 90 days; a short summary (time, medal) is kept.
Where it goes
- Races go to our server at api.vlineracer.com, run on Cloudflare, and its database. Played offline, races wait on your phone and are sent later.
Children
- The game has no chat and no messages between players, and asks for no personal details. We don't knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
Your choices
- Deleting the game removes everything it kept on your phone. To have your races deleted from our server, contact us and tell us your driver name.
Changes
- If this policy changes, the new version will be in the game, with its date at the top.
Contact
